Indigo Lounge edges McKenzie Carquest

This will be an eventful week for a group of Masters Ladies as they travel to Kelowna, B.C. to compete in the SPN Nationals starting Friday. The Honey Badgers consist of players from a few teams in the Ladies Slo-Pitch League. Best of luck to them!

This year both leagues have decided to go with the Game On Mobile App for reporting scores and tracking standings. The Ladies League have complied well as their standings are pretty well up to date. The Men’s teams haven’t bought in and it is reflected by the standings not reflecting the games played. It is the responsibility of the winning team to text their score after they have completed their game for that night.

Dave Phillips homered in consecutive at-bats for Haines.

Robert Q took control of the game with a seven-run sixth, Bryan DeBlaire and Shane McMahon went back-to-back in the rally.

Pelicans – Adam Jensen 4-4 HR, Tyler Danbrook 3-4

Trophy – Will Hanson 3-3, Andrew Garnham 3-3 HR, Matt McQueen HR

Pelicans stole this one away with a three-run sixth. Adam Jensen hit a three-run homer in the rally.

Wrecking Crew 25, Trophy Property Corp Expos 9

Wrecking Crew – Aaron Andres 4-4, George Redecopp 4-4, John Wiebe 3-3 (2 HR)

Trophy – Craig Robb 4-4 HR, Jordan Bruckler 3-3

Wrecking Crew took advantage of a nine-man Expos squad. John Wiebe drove in five with two homers for Wrecking Crew.

Andrew Garnham and Matt McQueen scored six runs between the two to lead the winners.

John Beere – Shaun Elliott 4-5, Mark Vanderhaeghe 2-2

Sluggers scored six sixth-inning runs to edge out John Beere. Daniel Enns and Martin Fehr hit doubles in the rally.

Jesse Legg helped his own cause by banging out a couple of doubles for Circus Room.

John Beere – Shaun Elliott 4-4, Kalvin Smith 4-5 (Grand Slam)

Chris Parker hit for the cycle and made an outstanding catch in centre leading the Pelicans to the win in a see-saw battle with John Beere.
