A field of 32 drivers took to the clay oval in one of the season’s biggest feature races, a test of driver skill in managing their vehicles through 150 laps. Spectators were given a good show in the test, with the drivers continually pushing to change the lineup in the lead pack.

Gary Lindberg and Mat Williamson were in the lead to start, with Brian McDonald and Luke Whitteker battling for the top-four by lap 16. On lap 32, McDonald went high to pass Williamson, who was in the lead at the time, with the rest of the top-five including Michael Maresca, Steve Bernier and David Hebert. Maresca would scoot past McDonald at the halfway point as he went too high, also allowing Hebert to nudge into second and Williamson into third.

Fuller didn’t make his move until the final 15 laps of the race, effectively dealing with lap traffic to put himself in second place, behind Maresca. Fuller would take the inside lane to pass Maresca for the win right under the flagstand. Williamson finished third to complete the podium.

The night’s other feature was a 50-lap DIRTcar Sportsman series, which saw Ryan Stabler, Brianna Ladouceur and Robert Delormier jump into the lead off the start. By lap 25, the top-three still held the lead, though with Delormier in second and Ladouceur in third.

A lap-38 restart gave Delormier the opportunity to jump into the lead, pulling ahead of the field to leave a battle for second between Ladouceur and Stabler. Delormier won, with Ladouceur in second and Stabler third.

A full program of racing, with five classes, is on the schedule for Sunday, Aug. 25.
