Bulldogs hope to snap four-game losing streak

Brantford loses to Oshawa Sunday, hosts Niagara on Friday

The Brantford Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back later this week from a four-game losing streak.

Playing twice on the road on the weekend, the Bulldogs (4-7-2-1) were beaten 3-2 in overtime on Friday by the London Knights (9-5-0-1) before falling 6-2 to the Oshawa Generals (7-8-0-0) on Sunday.

Luca Testa, with his sixth of the season, and Lucas Moore, with his first, scored for Brantford against London, which got goals from Denver Barkey, William Nicholl and Max McCue.

Bulldogs’ goaltender Matteo Drobac made a career-high 52 saves.

Against Oshawa, Marek Vanacker and Patrick Thomas scored for Brantford. Luke Torrance scored two goals for Oshawa while Rasmus Kumpulainen, Luca D’Amato, Connor Lockhart and Matthew Buckley got one each.

Drobac allowed five goals before being replaced by David Egorov for the third period.

Brantford has a busy weekend ahead, hosting the Niagara IceDogs (3-6-4-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Sudbury Wolves (9-5-0-0) on Saturday at the civic centre at 4 p.m. before playing in Peterborough on Sunday against the Petes (8-2-3-0) at 4:05 p.m.
