The Montreal Alouettes announced on Friday that they’ve acquired defensive-lineman Michael Moore from the Edmonton Elks in return for offensive-lineman Tony Washington and rusher Martese Jackson.
Moore, a 6-foot-4, 269-pound native of Hyattsville, Md., played 11 games in 2021 with the Elks and had 19 tackles and two sacks. The 28-year-old has 69 tackles, 17 sacks and a forced fumble in 48 career CFL games.
“Michael is a player we like a lot,” says Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia said in a release. “He is able to put pressure on opposing offences, and he will not back down from anyone. He will bring a lot of intensity to the field.”
Washington played three seasons with the Als, while Jackson joined the Alouettes during the 2021 season.
