I would like to send a huge thank you to all the Sarnia pilots and their COPA colleagues (The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association) for organizing the amazing Fly-In event in support of our Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport.
And thank you to all the families who attended this event. It was wonderful to see so many children there, too.
It was really overwhelming to see this much support (from within Sarnia and outside Sarnia) for our airport! The last count I heard was that 113 planes had flown into Sarnia from all over Ontario. That’s incredible.
Every available parking space was taken by visitors’ cars and even all the planes had to re-park at one point to make more space. It was such a wonderful event and the weather was perfect.
Thank you to everyone who made this superb event possible.
