Say no

Last December, the World Health Organization began work on a global accord on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response. In July, WHO decided it should be legally binding. To understand the motives behind WHO policies, understand much of its funding comes from private corporations and those who profit from certain outcomes. WHO’s funding for 2021 shows 23 per cent came from three sources: the U.S. government, Gates Foundation and GAVI (Global Vaccine Alliance). The U.S.’s National Institutes of Health funded EcoHealth Alliance’s gain of function research on bat viruses in Wuhan, China, and at the same time its scientists co-own Moderna’s mRNA patents. The Gates Foundation and GAVI missions are to expand markets for pharmaceutical products.

Last month, U.S. President Biden signed an executive order that requires all agencies ensure a safe and sustainable market for the coming bioeconomy (ex. genetic manipulations and AI driven technology in our bodies). Canadian taxpayers funded the University of British Columbia research that created the lipid nanoparticle that delivers the mRNA technology into our cells, but the patent and profits are held in a private corporation.

Moderna’s chief medical officer described the mRNA technology as “hacking the software of life.” Klaus Schwab describes the fourth industrial revolution as fusing our digital and biological worlds, challenging what it means to be human. Please read our government’s policy paper called Exploring Biodigital Convergence, to understand the transhumanist future being planned.

Given all this, it isn’t surprising that the never before used mRNA technology was presented as the only option for exiting the current pandemic and now, rather than review the failings of the past three years, it is full steam ahead, unless you say no.

Protect girls

Oct. 11 was the International Day of the Girl, but do we, in Canada, truly celebrate every girl?

There is no abortion law in Canada, which allows women to abort their children for any reason, including for being a girl. Sex-selective abortion does take place in Canada at alarming rates.

We need a law against this tragic and discriminative practice so we can begin to truly support the lives of all girls.

This isn’t progress

I think we are going backward.

In 1958, we had a school dentist. We needed only one person in the family working to buy a house. There was a psychiatric hospital that looked after the psychiatric patients, drug addiction and mental health. We had low-income housing authorities for the less fortunate and stable housing. We paid people to do the work without profit — think of highway projects and the insane costs from contractors.

It seems like we are educating people to take advantage of our society and money has lost its function of just a means to trade with each other. It seems like greed has become the goal under the guise of capitalism, without consequences for the most vulnerable. It doesn’t sound like progress to me.

Stick with cash

If you do not have the cash in your pocket, do not buy any item, period.

The message is clear again from the government and banks in Canada on credit cards: leave it on the shelf. Having retailers and customers at loggerheads takes the gaze away from banks and government.

Carbon tax increases take even more out of your pocket.
