LETTER: Being vaccinated is part of the solution
Article content
Reading the story about MPP Rick Nicholls and his critical view of vaccine passports brought to mind a really easy solution: Get the needle, Rick.
For the most part, if more people followed that example a passport might not be needed.
But a passport might be the wrong way. How about an immunization card, like the kind everybody had to have or still do before they were allowed to go to school?
Mr. Nicholls was removed from the Progressive Conservative caucus for not being vaccinated, but did he stand up during his younger years and advise he was not getting the needles that would prevent smallpox or polio or mumps? I highly doubt that.
More people need to stop making this situation, or looking at it, as a personal choice but rather as part of the solution.
It seems this virus might be around for a while, and personal choice will have it stay longer and deadlier.
