Shay Bradley pulled off his final prank at his own funeral.
When the casket of the Irish veteran’s body was being lowered into his final resting place in Dublin last Saturday, his voice began bellowing from below.
“Hello? Hello? Hello … let me out,” the Defence Forces veteran said in the pre-recorded message as family and friends began to laugh in a video posted to social media by one of the mourners.
“Where the f— am I?” he continued. “Let me out, let me out. It’s f—— dark in here. Is that the priest I can hear? This is Shay, I’m in the box. No, in f—— front of you. I’m dead.”https://twitter.com/lfcgigiddy1122/status/1183375983145082880
Daughter Andrea Bradley explained it was her father’s dying wish to play the message at his funeral.
She also posted the video to Facebook, where it’s been viewed over one million times since Sunday, and has received thousands of positive responses.
“Myself and my family are overwhelmed with the amazing response and comments we have received regarding my dad’s funeral. He truly is a legend and was the most amazing man!!! He would be overjoyed to know how many smiles and laughs he has given to every one. Thank you all.”
Bradley passed away Oct. 8 after a long illness. He leaves behind his wife Anne, four children and eight grandchildren.
