Howard Stern took aim at Joe Rogan on his show on Monday, calling out the popular podcast host for espousing anti-vax ‘nonsense.’
Stern made his comments on The Howard Stern Show in reaction to Rogan’s admission that he treated his COVID diagnosis with ivermectin, a drug commonly used to treat parasites in humans and livestock.
“I heard Joe Rogan was saying ‘What are you busting my balls [for]? I took horse de-wormer and a doctor gave it to me,'” he said. “Well, a doctor would also give you a vaccine, so why take horse-dewormer?”
The shock jock, who supports mandatory vaccinations, also had a message for “all the shitheads in our country who won’t get vaccinations.”

“We have no time for idiots in this country anymore,” Stern said. “We don’t want you. We want you to all either go the hospital, and stay home, die there with your COVID. Don’t take the cure, but don’t clog up our hospitals with your COVID when you finally get it. Stay home, don’t bother with science, it’s too late. Go f— yourself, we just don’t have time for you.”
He said vaccine hesitation existed because “we have it so good in this country, people forgot about disease” and that we have “cures.”
“It always wasn’t like this,” he added. “You don’t get to live to 80 years old automatically. It’s done with science.”
“The reason we live longer is because of science.”
Stern has previously pointed to unvaccinated people who are “clogging” up overwhelmed hospitals, calling them “imbeciles” and “nut jobs” and suggesting that doctors and nurses not treat those who have not taken a coronavirus vaccine.
“I’m really of mind to say, ‘Look, if you didn’t get vaccinated [and] you got COVID, you don’t get into a hospital,’ ” he said. “You had the cure and you wouldn’t take it.”
Stern has featured front-line workers on his show and has advocated for people to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. In December, the host interviewed Cody Turner, a physician at the Cleveland Clinic, about how the front-line doctor struggled with his mental health while treating infected patients when a vaccine was not widely available.
“We are drowning and we are in hell, and people don’t understand, not only what’s happening to people, you know, but patients across this country,” Turner said.
Rogan, meanwhile, has been criticized for promoting vaccine misconceptions in his podcast. In April, the influential host told his listeners only “vulnerable” groups need the vaccine.
“If you’re a healthy person, and you’re exercising all the time, and you’re young, and you’re eating well, like, I don’t think you need to worry about this,” he said but since changed his mind.
“I’m not a doctor, I’m a fucking moron,” he admitted later. “I’m not a respected source of information — even for me.”
