Shooting suspects continue to move through court

The cases of three of the suspects facing attempted murder charges in connection to a January shooting in Chatham continue to move through court while the two other suspects have managed to elude police.

A young man, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and two women – Rylie DeJonge-Vandusen, 19, of London and Brianna Gardiner, 18, of Cambridge – had recent court appearances. The young man, who is now 18 but was 17 at the time of the shooting, is slated to be back in court on July 14.

DeJonge-Vandusen and Gardiner are both scheduled to return to court on April 30.

Meanwhile, police continue to search for the two other suspects – Terry St. Hill, 19, and a 17-year-old male youth, who cannot be named.

According to previously published reports, Chatham-Kent police said a 37-year-old man and 17-year-old male each suffered gunshot wounds that were not life threatening in the early evening of Jan. 26 on Harvey Street in Chatham.

A third person was shot at but wasn’t wounded, police previously reported.

A dog was also shot and killed during the incident, police said.
