‘You can work anywhere in the world’
To help raise awareness about the numerous job opportunities available, the Lambton Kent and St. Clair Catholic district school boards are co-hosting an ‘Experience the Trades’ event this week.
Crowds of students from Grades 7 to 12 packed the John D. Bradley Convention Centre during the day on Wednesday, with a special session held for parents and students in the evening.
The event, which continues Thursday, gives young people a chance to learn more about different trades and apprenticeships while networking with businesses.
Nicole Beuckelare, LKDSB Pathways consultant and co-ordinator for the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, said there are opportunities available at any ability.
