Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman announced Friday $1,205,000 in funding via a Community Economic Development Grant that will help the town develop service infrastructure such as sewers, water mains and roads in the Van Norman business park.

“We’re creating an environment where businesses can focus on what they do best — developing great products and services and building successful companies,” said Hardeman in a statement. “It’s great to see the Town of Tillsonburg invest in the infrastructure that will help to attract and retain those businesses here in Oxford.”

With development, the town hopes to attract new investment and employment, as well as encourage development in manufacturing, auto and agri-food processing on the site.

“Having pre-serviced, shovel-ready land available is key to attracting new investment to our community,” said Tillsonburg mayor Stephen Molnar. “This investment by the Ontario government will help launch our community’s economic recovery and have a positive impact on the province as a whole.”
