Tillsonburg man charged in Woodstock vehicle robbery

Woodstock police have charged a Tillsonburg man in connection with a vehicle robbery in the city earlier this month.

Police have charged a 38-year-old Tillsonburg man with three counts of robbery with a weapon related to an April 12 robbery that sent a 84-year-old woman to hospital with minor injuries.

According to police, a male suspect brandished a weapon while attempting to steal a vehicle near Norwich Avenue and Juliana Drive and then fled the area in a stolen vehicle. The incident prompted police to issue a warning that evening, releasing a description of the stolen vehicle and asking residents to call 911 if they saw the vehicle.
