Tillsonburg District Real Estate Board supports three local charities

As COVID-19 continues to put pressure on the province’s already stretched shelter system, Tillsonburg District Real Estate Board (TDREB) is proud to support Tillsonburg Helping Hand Food Bank, Tillsonburg Salvation Army and Tillsonburg Multi-Service Centre with a donation to assist with service continuity.

“The unprecedented impact of COVID-19 has been felt around the world, including in our local community of Tillsonburg, with vulnerable populations being disproportionately affected,” said Dane Willson, President of Tillsonburg District Real Estate Board in a media release. “TDREB members are proud to partner with the Helping Hand Food Bank, Salvation Army and Multi-Service Centre’s front-line staff to support the tremendous work they do working with local families. We hope that this ($2,300) donation will help them get through this incredibly difficult time.”

TDREB donates to the ORCF which is an organization that has supported shelter-based organizations throughout Ontario since 1977 and receives its funding through the generosity of Ontario’s Real Estate Boards and Realtors.

“Now more than ever, our local communities and shelters need our support,” said Kevin Crigger, President, Ontario Realtors Care Foundation. “This funding is consistent with the socially responsible leadership that OREA, its 37 member Boards, and its Realtor members, provide to the Ontario communities they serve. When the COVID-19 health crisis is behind us, Ontario Realtors and the ORCF will still be there, as they’ve been for more than 40 years, raising money to support our local charities.”
