The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation launched a new fundraising initiative on Thursday, Oct. 1 – the STEGH Foundation Online 50/50 Raffle in support of patient care excellence.

The first draw is Oct. 30.

“It is a challenging time for everyone; however, we at the STEGH Foundation continue to be both amazed and incredibly grateful to our community for the way in which they have stepped up in their continued support of OUR Hospital,” said Sue Warden, Manager of Marketing and Communications at the STEGH Foundation in a media release.

“Although we are not able to host events in the current environment, we want to stay connected through a fundraising initiative that is engaging, exciting and fun to participate in, and we feel the online platform is perfect.”

The year-long STEGH Foundation Online 50/50 raffle is open to everyone over the age of 18 across Ontario. It is simple to participate – log on to ItsOURHospital.ca, and follow the links to purchase tickets.

You pick the number of tickets you would like to purchase:

  • $5 for three chances to win
  • $10 for 10 chances to win
  • Best value: $20 for 60 chances to win!

The jackpot grows as tickets are sold. You can view the size of the jackpot in real time at the website ItsOURHospital.ca. Each month, a winner is selected by a random electronic selection process. The winner receives one half of the proceeds raised, and the other half goes to support the highest priority needs of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, making it a win for everyone.
