The Station Arts Centre is excited to launch its first virtual exhibit Friday June 26th celebrating their talented members COVID creativity.
The exhibit, COVID-CREATE, showcases the diverse artwork and talent of our growing membership at the Station Arts Centre and the creativity that has emerged as an outlet during these unprecedented times.
This exhibit includes the work of Paul Belcher, a multi talented, sculptural artist, who has been a long standing member, volunteer, past Board Member and exhibitor. Work from Paul Walker, who’s realism paintings have captured the breath of all that have visited his studio on the Oxford Studio Tour, and not to mention the work from talented quilters, fibre artists, potters, graphite artists, mixed media and photographing to just name a few.
Pre-pandemic, the show would have opened as part of the gallery’s annual Member’s exhibit but is now going online.
Even though they couldn’t open our Gallery to exhibit these stunning works physically, they hope to highlight these amazing COVID Creations and help the community explore and engage with the local arts and artists. Art is not only about the physical element, it’s about the emotion, the connection, the release and the therapeutic peace of mind that pours out of the artist and engages the viewer.
