St. Williams couple wins $100,000

A St. Williams couple will soon be mortgage free after winning $100,000 in an instant lottery ticket.
Donna and Matthew Mago won the prize on a $5 Instant Plinko ticket purchased at BJ’s Convenience on West Street in Simcoe.
“Matthew bought this ticket for me – I love instant tickets and the surprise of winning,” Donna said in a media release issued by the Ontario Lottery Corporation. “When I matched the number 21, I thought this can’t be right. I scanned the ticket and Big Winner appeared. I turned to show my husband – he said, ‘Are you kidding me?’”
The couple told OLG officials they plan to pay off their mortgage and use the remainder for ‘fun things’.
“We’re going to buy a smoker barbecue and some other fun things for around the house,” Donna said.
“It’s a great feeling – I slept really well that night,” she added.
