Search leads to recovery of stolen property

Police on Six Nations of the Grand River, assisted by members of four OPP detachments, executed a search warrant on Feb. 16 at a Second Line home.
Police said the search is the result of a stolen property investigation that began last December. About $38,000 in stolen property was recovered, including several vehicles, a trailer, drugs and a firearm with ammunition.
Police said a 48-year-old Six Nations is charged with six counts each of altering, destroying or removing a vehicle identification number, fraudulent concealment and possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, fraud under $5,000; unauthorized possession of a firearm; unauthorized possession of a weapon and possession of an opioid.
