Ontario Provincial Police Oxford Detachment responded to a report of an abandoned trailer in Tillsonburg July 29.
The enclosed locked trailer was abandoned in a parking lot of a business on Broadway, and information was obtained that suspected stolen property was enclosed inside.
OPP searched the trailer and recovered two stolen dirt bikes which had been reported stolen from Ingersoll on July 22.
The dirt bikes were returned to the owner, however the owner of the trailer is unknown.
OPP advise the trailer was possibly stolen prior to July 29. The trailer had been recently painted white with red accents. It is believed that the wheel wells of the trailer were previously red.
Also located inside the trailer were several baseboard heaters, new in the box.
Police are hoping to locate the owner of the abandoned trailer.
The investigation is continuing.
