Driver charged after single-motorcycle crash
A Woodstock man was charged with impaired driving after police responded to a motorcycle crash Wednesday.
Officers responded to Sloane and Belgrave streets Wednesday evening for a single-vehicle motorcycle crash. The driver was taken to hospital for observation and the motorcycle impounded.
A 59-year-old man has been charged with two counts of driving impaired.
Youth charged with dangerous driving, cocaine possession
A 17-year-old was charged with drug possession after a vehicle caught the attention of police Tuesday.
A Woodstock officer saw a vehicle reportedly speed through a stop sign at about 70 kilometres per hour on Tuesday afternoon. The officer observed the vehicle continuing to speed and not following road signs, police alleged.
When the vehicle stopped, police arrested the driver and allegedly located a quantity of cocaine.
A 17-year-old, who is not being named under youth justice laws, was charged with dangerous driving, resisting a peace officer and drug possession.
