One dead, four injured in Potters Road collision

On Tuesday July 9, at 7:01 a.m., Oxford OPP, Otterville Fire Services and Oxford County EMS and Ornge Air Ambulance responded to Potters Road, Norwich Township for a fatal single vehicle collision.

OPP investigation, as of Tuesday, has determined a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) was travelling eastbound on Potters Road when it travelled off of the roadway, rolled over and came to rest in a field.

A male occupant, determined to be the vehicle driver, suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Four other males were transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The identity of the deceased was not released pending next of kin notification.

OPP Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene and assisted with the investigation. Potters Road was re-opened at 1:45 p.m.

Two of the four passengers were later determined at hospital to have serious life altering injuries.

OPP continue to investigate is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any information to assist with the investigation to contact them at 1- 888 – 310 – 1122.
