No new COVID-19 cases in H-N

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit on Wednesday morning, keeping the local number of positive cases of the virus since the pandemic began at 500.

There are now eight active cases between the two counties. Of the positive cases, 455 people have recovered.

So far, 32 people have died from the virus and another five died of other issues.

In Norfolk, the case numbers are: Vittoria 205; Simcoe 52; Courtland 17; Langton 13; Delhi 11; Port Dover 10; Waterford 7; and Port Rowan 6.

In Haldimand, the case numbers are: Hagersville 107; Caledonia 24; Dunnville 14; Selkirk 10; Jarvis 7; Cayuga 6; and Fisherville 6.

Since testing began, 5,774 results in the area have been negative.
