Human remains found in Lake Erie identified

The human remains found in the shoreline of Lake Erie in Norfolk County have been identified.

The deceased has been identified as 59-year-old Raymond Burns of New Kensington, Pennsylvania.

Burns was reported missing in August when his fishing boat sank in the Ohio area.

The remains were found in the water by hunters on Oct. 25 around 1 p.m. The hunters immediately contacted police.

The post-mortem took place at a Hamilton area hospital on Oct. 29.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
