The event is usually held in October each year. Since more than half of the hospice’s operating budget is covered by donations, including proceeds from the gala, a new approach is needed to make up those funds, the organization stated in a release.

The Hearts Together for CK Hospice benefit broadcast will take place on at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, when it will be streamed through Facebook Live as well as YourTV.

There will be live and taped portions, including a variety of entertainment performances, a hospice heart story, sponsorship highlights and other segments to raise awareness for the hospice.

Viewers will be asked to call, text or go online to make a donation. Additional funds will be raised in advance through sponsorship and donations.

“We are very excited to host this unique event to help raise funds that are essential to the daily operations of our hospice,” said event chair Randi Bokor.

The title sponsor is Victory Lincoln, with other sponsors including Battery Boy, Honey Electric, MBI Financial, Schinkels’ Gourmet Meats, Teksavvy, Westhoek Construction and YourTV.
