The task force will meet regularly to provide input on the plan, which lays out the health unit’s three-phase plan to administer vaccines to about 140,000 residents, or about 75 per cent of the population of Grey-Bruce.

The plan also includes details on the three models for getting the needles in the arms of residents, including mobile clinics, practice clinics and mass immunization hubs.

Support will also be needed with equipment, supplies and technology.

The task force will include stakeholders representing agriculture, business, community health centres, congregate settings like long-term care and retirement homes, schools, emergency medical services, faith-based organizations, fire, First Nations and the Indigenous community, hospitals, municipalities, pharmacies, police, primary care and social services.
