Cornwall police charge man with theft, threats, breaches

A 26-year-old man from Cornwall is facing four charges after police were contacted by a McConnell Avenue business on Monday.

Police alleged the man took coffee from the business without paying for it, and threatened to harm a woman he didn’t know.

Luis Rodriguez, 26, was charged with theft under $5,000; uttering threats; and, two counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.

He was held in police custody pending a bail hearing in Cornwall court.

Mischief

A 20-year-old man from Cornwall is facing a charge after police received a complaint about him on June 10.

Police alleged the man damaged various items belonging to his ex-girlfriend. He was arrested on Monday.

The man, whose identity was not released, was charged with mischief under $5,000.

He was released from police custody to appear in Cornwall court on June 25.

Mischief

A 61-year-old woman from Cornwall is facing a charge after police investigated a complaint Monday.

Police alleged the woman smashed a window on a vehicle belonging to someone she knows.

Debra Burrows, 61, was charged with mischief under $5,000.

She was released from police custody to appear in Cornwall court on July 25.
