ALS event raises $7,200 for research

The St. Alban’s ALS Awareness event this fall raised more than $7,200.

The evening of information sharing and fundraising highlighted the importance for further supporting this terminal disease. The guest speaker Melissa Van Tuyl, regional director for ALS Canada, explained the challenges of this disease and lack of treatment options currently available.

The evening also included entertainment from Danielle Ward, Parker VanBelleghem and Rosie Cronin.

A silent auction, refreshments, and raffle draw rounded out the evening.

All of the proceeds will go to ALS research and helping people with the terminal disease.
