$6,000 Donation from Libro to Benefit Wingham Oncology Department

Wingham Libro Credit Union recently donated $6,069.63 to the Wingham Oncology Department with funds raised at a BBQ and raffle earlier this year in September.

The owner representatives’ committee at the Wingham Libro Credit Union is donating over $6,000 to the Oncology department at the Wingham & District Hospital. The funds were raised through a BBQ and raffle hosted at the Wingham Libro branch in September. While the event was held on an especially rainy fall day, the community still came out in force to support the cause.

Each year the Libro owner representatives choose a local cause to support and have generously supported various programs at the Wingham & District Hospital over the past several years. Branch manager, Breanne Stafford, says “local healthcare and particularly the local oncology department is close to the hearts of so many people in our community. We’re happy to be able to give back in this way”.

Many thanks to all the owner representatives, Libro staff, volunteers and community members who enjoyed the BBQ for making the event a big success.
