A Costco employee shared a video on TikTok of some of the wildest returns she’s ever received and based on what she’s seen, customers can return just about anything.

Hannah and her co-worker, Gab, filmed themselves responding to the “Questions we get all the time at refunds” – and it appears nothing is off limits.

“I used these bed sheets for five years,” Hannah wrote on the video. “Can I return it?”

“Yes! You get a full refund,” she answered.

They’re also asked about half-eaten food.

“Can I return this pie even though there’s only a quarter of it left?” and Hannah confirmed, “Sure! Here’s your money back.”

The clip has been viewed three million times and has 222,000 likes. The location of Hannah’s Costco was not revealed.

Some people took to the comments to share their own stories of receiving refunds for everything from used blenders to lobster shells because “they claimed they weren’t Maine lobsters” as advertised.

One woman chimed in, “My husband works at Costco and one time a woman brought back an empty wine bottle because it gave her a headache!”

Another Costco employee backed up Hannah’s Christmas tree claim, writing how a customer “scooped up all the (needles) that fell from the tree and put it in a bag.”

Many people, though, said they wouldn’t take advantage of the warehouse retailer’s policy.

“How are people born without shame,” one commenter wrote, while another added, “My social anxiety could never… I’d be so embarrassed.”

Returns at Costco locations in Canada have the same exceptions as the U.S., but also include custom installation services and products with a “limited useful life expectancy, such as tires and batteries.”

Costco Canada’s website states, “We are pleased to offer what we believe is one of the best return policies in the industry. All returns are reviewed and considered on a case-by-case basis. Some returns will be authorized/refused at the discretion of a manager.”

It should be noted that Costco reserves the right to terminate your membership at their discretion if you abuse your membership privileges.
