Brantford fire fighters put out a fire at the Ferrero plant on Thursday. The call came in to the Brantford Fire Department just before 7 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters could see smoke coming out of what appeared to be a vent in the roof of the building, Deputy Fire Chief Scott Pipe said. Pipe said the fire was in a peanut roaster in the building. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading. The fire was out by 7:47 p.m., Pipe said. No injuries were reported, Pipe said.
