WALLACEBURG ARTS: Taking in the sounds of Nashville
Joni and I are just back from a trip down south. We started our trip with a 22-hour drive straight through to our friend’s home in Florida. David and Fran were wonderful hosts, I got in a little golf, Joni was able to scratch her shopping itch and we enjoyed the time despite the unseasonably cool temperatures.
WALLACEBURG ARTS: Dresden shines on Thursday nights
A few weeks ago, Joni and I happened to be in Dresden on a Thursday night in December. We had a Chatham-Kent Arts and Culture Network board meeting and social at Pam Smith’s Studio Art Gallery in the small town to the east of Wallaceburg. As we drove into the community, we were impressed with the abundance of seasonal lights that covered much of the path into town and absolutely floored with the downtown area.

I recently had the privilege of listening to Michael Alexander speak about his grandfather and their relationship. Michael is the grandson of Jack Beardall, the man who brought radio CFCO to the airways in the early 20 th Century.
