The Tillsonburg Ladies Slo-Pitch League will be holding an SPN Tournament the weekend of July 28-29 at the Annandale diamonds and Kiwanis. The tournament will be open to Ladies C, D and E teams as well as Men’s D and E.

A light schedule last week as rain took care of Monday’s action. Both the leaders were involved in close victories on Wednesday night. Indi-Girls scored seven runs over their final three at-bats to win by five over Service Master. Corey’s spotted Jays a five-run lead and came back to win by two.

Kaitin Kloet led the winners with a pair of doubles, Amanda Stubbs added a triple and scored three runs.

Corey’s didn’t record their first hit until the third inning in the comeback win. The big play of the game came in the seventh inning. With Jays rallying, Corey’s shortstop took a relay throw and from the outfield threw a perfect strike to catcher Steph Heath gunning down the runner at home plate.
Maple View Variety kept the train going winning their sixth straight upending Platinum Concrete Diamond Kings and taking one by forfeit over Haines Roofing.
Robert Q Travel also won twice defeating B’s Ward’s Automotive and an exciting walk off win over rival G.C. Lounsbury Inc.
I.C. Waters also beat Haines while Platinum Concrete recorded the other divisional victory winning by twelve over B’s Sunrise Equipment Roosters.

I.C. Waters broke the game open with a seven-run sixth. Scott Mudford, Steve Leacock and Darren Cadotte homered in the rally.

Robert Q walked it off in the eighth on a sacrifice fly from Steve Derks. The most exciting play of the game happened in the second when GC’s Colin McDonald hit his first career homer over the fence.

Nathan and Ben Bodt and Ryan Miller each homered twice for Maple View, all three doing so in consecutive at-bats.
Hounds held on for a one-run decision over Corey’s Restaurant who made it close in their last at-bat. Corey’s avenged that loss with a victory over R n D Carpentry Kekambas.
The only other win went to R n D Carpentry Kekambas who mercied Team Awesome in four and a half innings.

Hit N Run continue to pile up the wins as they beat Orchard Crest Farms in their second encounter winning by nine this time.
Circus Room scored six in each of the first and third innings winning by 10 over Jokers.
