The Tillsonburg Tri-County Fair's new midway is shaping up. Joined by World's Finest Shows, the June 22-24 Tillsonburg Fair will see its first 'drop zone' ride.

"We have some amazing rides that have pulled into the fairgrounds - some of them started pulling in late last night and they'll start setting up tomorrow (Tuesday)," said Rosemary Dean, Fair president. "So we are excited and we hope we get good weather."

This year's rides include the Cannonball (90-foot drop zone), Scrambler, Kite Flyer, Zero Gravity, and Tornado. They also have the Dizzy Dragon, Cobra Coaster and Jumbo Fun Slide. And for the youngest children, Classic Bikes and the Volkswagons.

Discounted 'Ride All Day' passes ($20) are available until gates open Friday at 4 p.m., at which point All-Day passes are $25. Ride passes can be purchased in advance at Chrissy's Corner Store, Trinkets Gift Shoppe on Broadway, and at the Tillsonburg fairboard office.

"We'll have with 8-10 midway games, lots of food vendors, and other vendors with clothing and other miscellaneous stuff for sale."

The fair continues 9-9 Saturday and 10-6 Sunday. Admission is $8 and five-and-under free.

"We are excited, we've worked hard this year in a short time to pull this all together," said Dean. "We thank World's Finest Shows for coming aboard, they want to help sustain our fair so that we can continue on for many years to come.

"If you see the fairboard volunteers, thank them... because without them it wouldn't be possible. I really appreciate the members and executive for all their hard work and dedication to this Fair. And the many new sponsors we added this year, we're happy with that too."
