Vandalism at The Bridges

Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a mischief incident which occurred Sunday, November 12 at The Bridges at Tillsonburg golf course on John Pound Road in Tillsonburg.

Unknown suspect(s) entered the property between Saturday, Nov. 11 and 3 p.m. on November 12, and caused significant damage to the greens and tee-boxes on holes 12 through 15.

The damage was caused when All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) drove onto the course and intentionally ripped up the course with their vehicles. Damages are estimated to in the amount of $40,000.

The investigation is continuing.

OPP seek assistance after family dog reported stolen

The Ontario Provincial Police, Norfolk County detachment is investigating an incident after police were called to a 1stConcession Road NTR, Middelton address.

On Monday, Nov. 13, at approximately 11:21 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner reporting their family dog stolen.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that on Friday, November 10, between 7-8 a.m. unknowns removed a seven-month-old female puppy from a locked cage located on the property.

The dog is described as a Beagle Bluetick Hound cross and is black in colour with a brown head and specks from her chest to her lower legs.

Several family members have searched the area for their dog however all attempts to locate her where unsuccessful.

The Norfolk County OPP is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

Mailboxes damaged

The Ontario Provincial Police Norfolk County detachment investigated acts of mischief on Highway 19, Middleton Township.

On Monday, November 13, at approximately 3:27 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner reporting mischiefs to mailboxes on the roadway.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that in the early morning hours, unknowns damaged mailboxes at various addresses along the roadway completely destroying them.

OPP are continuing to investigate and is seeking the assistance of the public. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

"Police are looking to speak to anyone that may have information regarding this incident. We need to hold these individual(s) accountable for their actions. Residents are tired of having their property vandalized or property stolen by individuals who think that this type of behaviour is acceptable." - states Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
