This should be an exciting week in Tillsonburg as both Ladies and Men's slo-pitch regular schedules culminate.

The Men's A title will come right down to the wire as Haines Roofing and IC Waters are in a dead heat with IC having one more game left then Haines. The race is on from third through fifth, the top two spots in B have been claimed with third to fifth still unsettled.

The C loop was clinched last week but second to fifth places yet undecided.

The Ladies B is still up for grabs as Energy Productions and Steelerz battle it out.

There will be an exciting event taking place from the tenth to the twelfth as the NHL caravan rolls into town featuring interactive exhibits, ball hockey tournament, refreshments and other activities planned putting the town of Tillsonburg on the map!

Men's A

The race for first is on after Haines Roofing beat Maple View Variety and IC Waters edged out the suddenly slumping GC Lounsbury squad to sit tied atop the division. Haines has a game left against Kekambas while IC plays Maple View and Robert Q.

Robert Q mercied GC and now have a shot at finishing third even after losing to Roosters. Hounds clinched sixth after an easy win over Kekambas.

Hounds 21, Kekambas 3

Robert Q Travel - Ryan Black 6-6, Bryan Deblaire 5-6

G.C. - Devin Lee 4-4, Stephen Deblaire 3-4

Billy Willson scored five runs in the big win for Robert Q.

I.C. Waters 15, G.C. Lounsbury 14

I.C. - Chris VanParys 3-4, Eric Lockey 3-4, Steve Leacock Hr, Tyler Lamb 2 Hr, Mike Shewan Hr, Aaron Laporte Hr

G.C. - Cheyne Sarafinchin 3-4, Sean Little 4-4 Hr, Thom Puhr 2 Hr, Trevor Stuyt Hr

I.C. stole this one away with a six-run sixth. Tyler Lamb hit a three-run homer in the rally that was eventual game winner.

Roosters 24, Robert Q Travel 21

Roosters - Greg Buchner 5-6, Tony Laur 3-4

Robert Q - Darren Pace 5-6, Steve Derks 4-5, Bryan Deblaire Hr

Roosters kept their three game unbeaten streak alive courtesy of a 10-run seventh. Greg Buchner, Tony Laur and Josh Munro each drove in two in the rally.

Maple View - Matt Ungar 2-2 Hr, Randy Miller 3-3 2 Hr, Nathan Klassen Hr

Phil Durham led Haines with a pair of three run homers.

Men's B

East Elgin Spartans flexed their muscles in victories over third place Diamond Dogs and Wine And Beer Shop.

Pelicans are putting on a push to finish third after they beat Brew Jays and Corey's Restaurant by four. They are just one point out of third with one game remaining against Corey's.

Martin Klassen hit for the cycle for East Elgin while driving in five. Johnny Klassen had a pair of two run homers.

Pelicans 19, Brew Jays 15

Pelicans - Rob Fishback 5-5, Nick Lonsbary 6-6

Brew Jays - Dylan Creamery 3-3, Ben Heinrichs 3-4

Nick Lonsbary crossed five times for Pelicans.

East Elgin Spartans 24, Diamond Dogs 13

East Elgin - Abe Krahn 4-5, Martin Klassen 3-3 Hr, Jake Klassen Hr, Johnny Klassen Hr

Diamond Dogs - Rob Undersell 3-3, Brian Geertz 3-3

East Elgin hit some long balls on Annandale-4 with Johnny Klassen, Jake Klassen and Martin Klassen hitting two-run blasts.

Men's C

Hit N Run won three times last week tightening up the race for second with Boston Pizza. They beat Hammertime, John Beere and Falcons.

Falcons walked one off against McKenzie Carquest in the first half of a double-header and were edged out by Hammertime in their second game. John Beere went up big on Boston Pizza and held on for a one run decision. They also walked one off against a short-handed Brad Cole Oriole squad.

Hit N Run moved out to a 12-run lead after three. Jake Klassen homered twice and drove in five for the winners.

John Beere - Rick Pihokker 2-2, Craig Boucher 3-3 Hr, Kevin Listar Hr

Abe Klassen was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle with two homers and six runs driven in.

Wind was a factor in this one as the ball was flying out of Kiwanis. John Beere built up a 19-run lead and held on for the one-run victory. They hit three grand slams on the night.

Hammertime 6, Falcons 5

Hammertime - Dave Teal 2-3, Brent O'Brien 3-4

Falcons - Peter Wolf 2-3, Jamie Dyck 3-4

Falcons tied up this low scoring affair with a three-run sixth, and Hammertime won it in the seventh on a Cam Curtis sacrifice fly.

Falcons 19, McKenzie Carquest 18

Falcons - John Friesen 4-4, Dave Thiessen 4-5 Hr

McKenzie - Devon MacDonald 3-3, Darren Carpani 3-3, Andrew Pocs Hr

McKenzie built up a healthy ten run lead after four. Falcons shut them down the rest of the way, Falcons scored three in the seventh capped off by Jamie Dyck's well placed off field hit to walk it off.

John Beere 21, Brad Cole Orioles 20

John Beere - Shaun Elliott 4-5, Mark Vanderhaeghe 4-4, Chris Fisher Hr

Brad Cole - Tim Hayward 4-5, Kevin Miller 4-5

Brad Cole playing with just nine went into the third with a 10-run lead. John Beere started their comeback and after Brad Cole went down to eight they outscored them 10-0. They won it with a two-run walk off homer by Chris Fisher.

Ladies A

Corey's Restaurant clinched first after defeating Jays by nine and got help from Service Master who knocked off second place Indi-Girls. Jays rebounded with a mercy over Pitch Slap. Centre Point Contractors held off Service Master winning by one.

Centre Point Contractors 10, Service Master 9

Centre Point - Trisha Delouse 3-3, Keri Sunderland 2-2

Service Master - Cheryl Johnson 3-4, Kayla Bond 2-3

Keri Sunderland led off Centre Point's sixth with a triple. Mandi Howe had a run-scoring single, the eventual game-winning run.

Service Master 12, Indi-Girls 9

Service Master - Denise Pelletier 3-4, Crystal Laforge 3-4

Indi-Girls - Mary Boldt 2-4, Tena Bueckert 2-4

Denise Pelletier drove in a pair the eventual game winning run in the fourth for Service Master.

Jays 17, Pitch Slap 5

Jays - Mary Froese 5-5, Colette Tobias 4-4

Pitch Slap - Erin Murray 3-3, Leigh-Anne Bower 2-3

Kristen Cadotte and Melissa Hughes each scored three runs for Jays.

Corey's Restaurant 17, Jays 8

Corey's - Christine Gubesch 3-3, Tracey Pressey 4-4

Jays - Amy Beattie 3-3, Colette Tobias 3-3 Jess Falk 2 Hr

Tracey Pressey had a triple and double for Corey's, Anita Dahl had a pair of doubles.

Ladies B

Steelerz clinched first place over Energy Productions leading by one point with one game remaining after they defeated Shady Acres by three.

Energy finished strong with victories over Orange Crush, Shady Acres and Boston Pizza. Pitch Slap picked up their third win over Boston Pizza.

Steelerz 21, Shady Acres 18

Steelerz - Nicole Brandon 4-4, Niki Lama 5-5 Hr

Shady Acres - Holley Dayman 5-5, Ashley Aker 5-5 Hr

Nicole Brandon tripled, doubled twice and scored four runs for Steelerz.

Energy Productions 13, Shady Acres 10

Energy - Nicole Currier 4-4, Melissa Douglas 2-2

Shady Acres - Kristen Bates 3-4, Randi Williams 3-3

Energy scored 12 over their final two at-bats to overtake Shady Acres.

Energy Productions 17, Boston Pizza 4

Energy - Crystal Heavens 4-4, Jen Kichler 4-4

Boston Pizza - Christy Friesen 3-3, Kim Avey 2-2

Shanna Wellink, Crystal Haegens and Kim Gillis each scored three runs for Energy.

Lisa Manu homered, doubled and scored three runs for Pitch Slap. Taylor Bailey scored four runs.
