Voice of Slo-Pitch

I had the opportunity to umpire in the ninth annual Oxford Christian Reformed School co-ed three pitch tournament along with Jim Armstrong on Saturday.

The proceeds go towards Christian education. The tournament was once again one of the most organized events that I have seen in this town for quite sometime! There may be something to said for an alcohol free tournament!

There were teams from Tillsonburg, Mount Elgin, Aylmer, Woodstock, Brantford and other small communities in Oxford County.

Woodstock Bat Attitudes won the competitive division going undefeated.

Thanks to all who cooked and served fantastic food and beverages as well as those who looked after and maintained the diamonds, and thanks for making sure everything was returned to its original state after.

These are the kind of tournaments this town needs more of run by locals!
