SCOR EDC builds bridge to Beijing

SCOR EDC announced on Friday it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 168Canada.com. The intent of the agreement is to build partnerships and connections between the South Central Ontario Region and regions in China including Beijing.
“Our initial meetings will focus on building trust and fostering government-to-government and business-to-business relationships," said Stephen Molnar, Chair of SCOR Economic Development Corporation in a media release. "We will highlight the things we do well in this region such as agriculture and food and other niche products.”
The two organizations are planning multiple trips over the upcoming months to build relationships and to give businesses and organizations in each region a chance to connect through the partnership. The focus for the region will be to develop new markets, expand existing ones and to build the SCOR EDC brand in China.
“There are many opportunities that we envision coming from this relationship," said John Lee, principle of 168Canada.com, in the media release. "Our job is to build a bridge to connect so that we can foster successes in both countries.”
The trip is in alignment with the Provincial and Federal efforts at building bridges between the two counties.
