Drugs found in Tillsonburg home

On Thursday, Sept. 8 the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police attended a residence on Frank Street in Tillsonburg regarding a well-being check and possible drug activity.

As a result of the investigation, one male suspect and one female suspect were arrested. Approximately $2,400 in Canadian currency and an estimated $9,500 in cannabis marihuana, and psilocybin were seized.

19-year-old Alissa Eden of Tillsonburg was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following: Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – Over 3 kilograms; and Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking.

21-year-old Joey Klassen of Tillsonburg was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following: Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – Over 3 kilograms; and Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both parties were released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on Sept. 27, 2016.
