Men's A

Haines Roofing advanced to the final after a thrilling come from behind victory over Survivors in the fourth game of their series after Survivors staved off elimination the previous night. They await the winner of the Robert Q Travel-Maple View Variety series which went to a fifth and deciding game last night.

Game Highlights - Dave Phillips and John Ralf each hit their two homers in consecutive at bats for Haines.

Game Highlights- Survivors rode a seven run fifth to victory. Pete Fehr had a two run homer in the rally.

Game Highlights- Survivors playing with just nine in the elimination game plated seven fifth inning runs only to have Haines counter with a seven run sixth to lead by one. They shut Survivors down in the sixth and put two more across in the seventh. Survivors were rallying in their last at bat when outfielder Dave Phillips gunned down a runner at the plate on a big stretch by catcher Craig Smith. Haines escaped with the two run victory. Phil Durham, Dave Phillips and Scott Harris scored three runs for Haines.

Game Highlights- Aaron Uhryn was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle for Maple View. They scored runs in every at bat in the six inning mercy.

Game 4

Robert Q- Matt Bilger (3-4) Charlie Crossett (4-4)

Maple View- Nathan Klassen (3-4) John Epp (3-3)

Game Highlights- Charlie Crossett had an RBI triple and a RBI double in the Robert Q win.

Men's B

The regular season champs GC Lounsbury swept their series with Corey's Restaurant and are off to the final. They scored seven sixth inning runs in come from behind victory in the series clincher. They will face the winner of the Kekambas-Ontario Laser Spartans fifth and deciding which was scheduled for last night.

The teams split a pair last week.

Game 2

Game Highlights- Kent Collings, Thom Puhr and Stephen Deblaire all hit triples for the winners, Deblaire also added a double.

Corey's - Scott MacIntyre (4-4) Craig Boucher (2-3)

Game Highlights- GC came from behind scoring seven sixth inning runs. Kent Collings and Thom Puhr scored two runs on the night for the winners.

Kekambas- Brandon Rohrer (3-4) Steve Demeter (4-4)

Game Highlights- Spartans blew the game open courtesy of a seven run third. Martin Klassen was a triple away from hitting for the cycle for the winning side.

Game Highlights- Kekambas fought from behind and finally took over the lead with a five run sixth, Kyle Hollister had a three run homer in the rally.

Men's C

Both semifinal series went to fifth and deciding games last night after the four teams split victories last week.

Pelicans scored a big win on Thursday night staving off elimination with Rooks & Vets after losing two straight.

Ward's Automotive played shorthanded and recorded a lopsided victory over Hit N Run Thursday night. Hit N Run facing do or die escaped with a two run decision on Friday night.

Game Highlights- Ward's plated fourteen runs over their first two at bats. Devin Sebok led the winners scoring four runs.

Game Highlights- This was an exciting one right down to the final out. Abe Wolf hit a three run sixth inning homer for Hit N Run followed by a two run shot off the bat of Abe Klassen. Ward's were rallying in the seventh but had a runner thrown out at third and the tying run at the plate popped out to end it.

Rooks & Vets 15,

Pelicans- Nick Lonsbary (2-3) Chris Parker (2-3)

Game Highlights- Rooks led from the second inning on. Leadoff hitter and pitcher scored four runs for the winners.

Pelicans- Nick Lonsbary (3-3) Brad VanPuymbroeck (3-4) Adam Jensen 2 Hr

Rooks- Bob Long (3-4) Jim Long (2-3) Dallas Dalby Hr

Game Highlights- This game started out low scoring as Rooks led 1-0 after three innings. Pelicans struck for six fourth inning runs started by an Adam Jensen two run homer. They shutout Rooks for four straight innings en route to victory. Jensen added a three run shot in Pelicans four run seventh.

Men's D

It will be Diamond Dogs and Boston Pizza meeting in the final as both won three straight in their series with John Beere and Destroyers respectively.

Diamond Dogs lost their game to a forfeit while Boston Pizza swept their series..

Boston Pizza was the only team to defeat Diamond Dogs on the diamond as the Dogs ran rough shod over the D and C division opponents.

Game Highlights- Christian Devlin and Keith Agnew scored three runs each for the winners.

John Beere- James Elliott (3-3) Shawn Elliott (3-3)

Game Highlights- Joe Allin, Doug Falkins and Andrew Patenaude scored three runs each for the winners.

John Beere- James Elliott(3-3) Tyler Sergeant (2-3)

Game Highlights- Andrew Patenaude was a defensive standout in Diamond Dogs' offensive domination.

Ladies A

Indigo Lounge handed Corey's Restaurant their first loss of the season in the opener of the best of five final. They opened by scoring ten over their first two at bats.

Corey's bounced back to even the series holding on for a 12-9 win in game two.

Indigo- Kim Harrop (4-5) Tena Bueckert (4-5)

Corey's- Farrell Pelton (2-3) Kasey McKenzie (3-4)

Game Highlights- Indigo got some strong outfield play from Tena Bueckert and Mary Boldt. Kaitlin Anseeuw had a two run triple for Indigo.

Game Highlights- Rose Finnessy's double was the only extra base hit for Corey's. They scored four key add on runs in the seventh as Indigo plated six to make it close.

Ladies B

It's never over till it's over as, down two games, Farmers Daughters staved off elimination twice against Energy Productions last week. Twelve seemed to be their lucky number as they scored twelve runs in each close win.

Game Highlights- Anna Enns and Tina Friesen hit two run doubles in Farmers second inning.

Energy- Jen Kichler (3-3) Belinda Loewen (3-3)

Game Highlights- Energy rallied to score five seventh inning runs but came one shy in the comeback bid. Tina Friesen led the winners with three doubles and five runs batted in.

Ladies C

Ritchie's got back into the series with two straight wins last week forcing a fifth and deciding game with Cleats. They shut them out in the third game and won by eight in the next.
