Jake 'The Snake' Roberts brings his Unspoken Word Tour to Tillsonburg

WWE Hall Of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts will be making his way to Sammy Krenshaw's on Friday, June 24th on his Unspoken Word Tour.
Come out for a night of stories, comedy, and a question and answer session in Tillsonburg. Tickets are $20 in advance ($25 night of at the doors). Tickets also include a meet and greet with Jake as well as a photo (with your own camera or cell device). Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Bring a few extra bucks because Jake will have his new DVD 'Resurrection of Jake the Snake' for sale and other merchandise.
Saturday's show will be hosted by funnyman Ryan Dennee and will feature a local comedian.

"It should be an exciting show!" said Blacktop Records' Ben Andress. "I can't wait."
En route to Timmins and area for three shows last weekend, Jake 'The Snake' has been touring in Canada for several weeks now.
"It's been going great," said Jake. "Every one has been a sellout so far and I'd like to keep that going. It's really awesome. To put something out there that people just eat it up, it just feels great. I don't know how to explain it other than just... 'wow.'"
Jake, now 61, got the idea for his tour watching other wrestlers doing comedy.
"I just thought, 'what the hell, I can do this.' I just decided to keep it all real. And by 'keeping it real' I mean all these stories are true. Grin and bear it, if you will, hide your children cause Jake's coming to town and there's no telling what's going to come out of his mouth. But whatever comes out is going to be the truth."
It's the Unspoken Word Tour.
"There's nothing funnier than truth," he added.
Although Jake the Snake may be best known for his days in the WWF/WWE, his professional wrestling career began in the mid-70s and continued well into the 2000s. Through the decades, Jake said he did not have a match, feud or event that he remembers as his career favourite.
"No, although Wrestlemania was always special. But there's so much pressure on you at the time you didn't really appreciate it. Some guys were worried. It drove me nuts that everybody was worried, because I didn't give a damn... I knew I was going to do my job. I just didn't understand why these guys would get so upset, so cranked up. I didn't because everything I did out there was second nature. I never had to think. I can't imagine what it was like to think. When I was wrestling I just didn't have to think about it, I just went out and did it. It was always there. It's a gift, I guess. It's just crazy that what I find so easy is so hard for so many."
During his WWF days he feuded with Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, Honky Tonk Man, Ravishing Rick Rude, Andre the Giant, Rick 'The Model' Martel, and more.
Twenty years later, the man who made his Wrestlemania debut in No. 2 can still draw a crowd of all ages.
"That is what's fun about it," he said. "Now with WWE 24, they can go back and watch all the great moments, and I get young fans that are discovering me for the first time. And it's really incredible. I've been to some signings and stuff and you've got kids there who are eight and 10 year olds. I'm like, wait a minute, these guys aren't old enough... but then I realize this is a different era. It's the age of WWE 24."
