A Valentine's Day tradition at Boston Pizza

You can extend your love further than your own dinner table this Valentine's Day.

By ordering a heart-shaped pizza from Boston Pizza, Canadians can help children and youth across the country benefit from positive role models and mentoring. Exclusively on Sunday, Feb. 14, Boston Pizza guests can enjoy a heart-shaped pizza in Tillsonburg, and $1 from the sale of each pizza will go to Boson Pizza Foundation Future Prospects.

"Come out and enjoy a hear-shaped gourmet pizza on February 14th," said Tillsonburg Boston Pizza manager Carl Heutinck. "This type of opportunity only comes once a year. You get to eat delicious pizza and help charities all at the same time."

Heart-shaped pizzas are available in small and medium sizes, with classic or multigrain dough, and can be ordered for dine-in, take-out or delivery in any of Boston Pizza's gourmet and create-your-own pizza varieties. Boston Pizza expects to make more than 65,000 heart-shaped pizzas across Canada this Valentine's Day.

Also, until February 14, guests can also purchase a Boston Pizza 'Peel and Win' Heart for a minimum donation of $2. Everyone is a winner. Prizes include a free Panookie, a free Starter, $2 off a dessert and more. All proceeds raised will support Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects, which provides role models for kids through organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kids Help Phone, and the Rick Hansen Foundation.

"Boston Pizza believes that mentorship programs and strong role models can help children reach their full potential," said Cheryl Treliving, Executive Director of Boston Pizza Foundation, in a media release. "That's why Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects helps support organizations that inspire kids to be great. Our annual Valentine's Day promotion has helped us raise awareness and more than $5 million since 1993, to benefit numerous charities across Canada. We are grateful to all of our guests across Canada for their ongoing support and donations."

Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects was established in 2014 to raise funds and awareness for organizations that provide kids in Canada with role models and mentoring programs. Partners include Live Different and JDRF. Since its inception in 1990, the Boston Pizza Foundation has raised and donated more than $18 million to directly improve the health and well-being of children and families.
