Traffic stop leads to arrest

The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police report that on January 22, 2016 shortly after midnight, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling in an area that had been the target of recent thefts from vehicles.
The vehicle, a white van with a lone male driver, was stopped on Ann Street in Tillsonburg.
Through further investigation it was determined that the male was a suspended driver. The male was arrested, and after conducting a search the officer seized suspected Methamphetamines from the male. The vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
Joshua Chambers, 21, of Tillsonburg is charged with the following: Driving While Under Suspension – contrary to the Highway Traffic Act; and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine – contrary to the Controlled Drugs And Substances Act.
He was released on an appearance notice for a future court date.
