Mae Moffat - Bunker to Bunker
Tuesday, August 25th was a dull, cool day - a subtle reminder that fall is definitely on the way.
Six 18-hole ladies at The Bridges played for low net. In A Flight Phyl Lawrence finished first and Sue Ure was second. In B Flight Lil Neale was first and Taye Jackson was second.
Lil Neale had a birdie on hole #16.
Eight 9-hole ladies played the Friday format so there were no game results to report.
Fourteen of the Nine Hole ladies travelled to Craigowan to play in a field of 36 at the Ladies 9-hole District Invitational.
Mary Delouche was the overall winner of the day with a low gross of 45 - an excellent score for the Craigowan course.
Mary Fassaert had 3rd low net in Flight A.
Dorell Clark had 2nd low gross in Flight B
In Flight C Marjo Kubera had 1st low gross. Judy Misener had 2nd low Net and Wilma Jeffery had 3rd low net.
Not only did The Bridges shine in attendance but also in quality of play. It was a pleasure to have been a participant in the tournament. The course was beautiful, the food fabulous and the camaraderie second to none.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday is the 18-hole and 9-hole Ladies League Championship. The regular Tuesday league players will follow the respective 18-hole and 9-hole Championship participants. Good luck to everyone and enjoy your game.
See you on the greens.
