Enjoy a weekend of great music at the Backus Bluegrass Jam

The popular Bluegrass Jam returns to Backus Heritage Conservation Area on August 29-30.

This two-day event takes place in the picturesque setting of Backus Heritage Village where music enthusiasts can enjoy the sweet sounds of bluegrass Saturday, August 29th from noon until 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, August 30th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

On Sunday morning at 10 a.m., an inspirational gospel performance will be staged in the historic Teeterville Baptist Church.

More than 150 musicians welcome visitors to listen to jam sessions performed at their trailers or in the Forbes Barn.

The event will feature a number of local bluegrass bands, as well as, musicians from across Canada and the United States. Fiddlers and other string instrument players of all ages and abilities are invited to attend and join in on the jam sessions.
