Gentle breezes for Scotch Two-Ball

Mae Moffat - Bunker to Bunker
Tuesday July 21st was possibly the nicest day this summer. Sunshine and gentle breezes greeted 32 nine and 18-hole Lady Golfers for their annual Scotch Two-Ball Tournament at The Bridges.
Registration was at 8 a.m. Club Pro Peter Hancox welcomed us and sent us out to our respective holes for an 8:30 shotgun start. Following our 18-holes of play we made our way to the home of Joyce Glass for a much anticipated three course gourmet potluck. Marion Hevenor asked the blessing and we enjoyed our meal either under the trees beside Lake Lisgar or on the deck overlooking a gorgeous yard.
Tournament conveners Lilliann McCune and Pam Good thanked everyone for participating in the tournament and awarded the prizes as follows:
Low Gross for the day: Devona Allin and Marg Moylan - 94
1st Low Net: Lil Neale and Dorell Clark - 67 (retro)
2nd Low Net: Mandy Mawhiney & Ruth McSpadden - 67 (retro)
3rd Low Net: Lillian McCune & Mary Jane Barth - 70 (retro)
4th Low Net: Bryden Sinden & Ruth Joness - 70 (retro)
5th Low Net: Peg Hogarth & Joyce Glass - 70 (retro)
6th Low Net: Mary Delouche & Marjo Kuhera - 73

Lillian and Pam thanked Joyce for her hospitality and presented her with a token of our appreciation.
Many thanks to the conveners for all their work and a job well done.
On Monday July 20th five ladies participated in a Members, Guests & Friends tournament at West Haven. The team of Mandy Mawhiney, Anne Spencer, Phil Lawrence and Wendy Coward finished 3rd in a field of 32 teams. Lil Neale was a member of her daughter Stacey Palmers' team.
Let's hope this wonderful summer weather continues.
See you on the greens.
