Impaired driving on Potters Road

On Tuesday, March 10, shortly after 5:30 p.m., the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was alerted by witnesses of a single motor vehicle in the ditch on Potters Road just east of Middletown Line in Norwich Township.

Police located the vehicle and identified the male driver. A roadside breath demand was issued and the driver and was arrested. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.

Thomas Poel, 27, of Otterville, was charged with the following: Driving with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood; Driving While Ability Impaired; and Breach of Recognizance.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear.
