Just a Girl's Indulgence - Feb. 20

The Station Arts Centre is encouraging women to 'just indulge yourself.' Their third annual Just A Girl's Indulgence starts Friday, Feb. 20th at 7 p.m. in the Tillsonburg Community Centre Lions Auditorium.

"You've worked hard all week," said Station Arts Centre's Suzanne Fleet. "You took care of your family. Friday night, go out with the girls and have a good time. It's just a good night for the girls to unwind and have some social time."

Advance tickets are $30 each, or $25 per person for a table of eight, available at the Station Arts Centre and Sangter's Health Centre. Single tickets at the door are $32.

"We're going to have a fashion show by Mark's and Northern Reflections, wine tasting, photo booth, massages, demos for eyebrow waxing, body sugaring..." said Fleet.

Food will be provided by Chrissy's Catering. There will also be a cash bar.

Spa 'indulgences' will be done by Tranquility Health and Beauty Centre, Escapes Salon and Spa, On Our Way Massage Therapy and Wellness Clinic, Cardio Plus Women's Fitness and Day Spa, Anastacia's Salon, Spa and Wellness, and Indigo Lounge.

"We're growing every year," said Fleet. "We have seating available for 200. We're hoping to get more ticket sales early."

Fleet said one of the prime attractions last year was the Photo Booth.

"The girls had so much fun. They've got hats, glasses, and all kind of stuff. It started slow, but after about a half hour, everybody started lining up and it was non-stop the rest of the night. Two, three, four people cramming into the booth. They (Party Pozers) give you a strip of photos."

South Hill Designs Jewellery will have a display, Fleet noted.

"It's a fun night to socialize, and you can take part in the indulgences – and the indulgences are free. So you can get a massage, get a hand facial... you can have your pictures taken. Indigo Lounge is also going to be doing card reading. All of that is free. You pay one price and it's all included, except for the bar.

"The women who were there last year had a fantastic time and they all said they were coming back again this year. The fashion show gives them ideas about what's going to be popular in the spring – what colours, what styles.
