McKinnon elected vice-chair of school board

Ingersoll resident and Oxford County trustee on the Thames Valley District School Board, Bill McKinnon has been elected vice-chair for the coming year.
McKinnon was elected vice-chair of the board Dec. 1.
He was first elected to the board in the 2010 municipal election and was acclaimed during the most recent election. McKinnon has served on a number of board committees including the Policy Working Committee, the Thames Valley Education Foundation and the Negotiations Advisory Committee.
London trustee Ruth Tisdale was acclaimed as chair of the school board at the same meeting, marking her second consecutive term as chair.
She was first elected chair in 2013 after holding the position of vice-chair. The board's inaugural meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at 7 p.m.
