Door-to-door postal delivery to end in Tillsonburg in fall 2015

Canada Post will end door-to-door mail delivery in Tillsonburg in the fall of 2015.
Community mailboxes will replace the door-to-door delivery in Tillsonburg, Simcoe, and Delhi. The postal codes affected will be N4Z, N5A, N4G, N3Y, and N4B.
Impacted households will receive an information package outlining the changes.
"This is a process we are currently using with our 2014 conversion process and it has provided very useful insights and facilitated our planning with the city planning department to help us choose safe, suitable locations," Eugene Knapik, media relations at Canada Post, said in an email.
Staff at the impacted locations were informed Monday.
"No regular full-time or part-time employee will lose their job as a result of the initiative. As we have stated throughout this process, we will reduce our workforce largely through attrition as people leave the company," Knapik said.
