Corrie Good of Good Redden & Klosler, sponsor of the 18-hole Ladies Club Championship, and Dave Martin of Verne's Carpet One, sponsor of the 9-hole Ladies League Championship, joined us for lunch and presented the respective trophies to Phyl Lawrence and Dorell Clark, who accepted for the absent Mandy Mawhiney.

Marion Hevenor presented the Marion Hevenor Trophy to the winning team of Susan Ure, Sharon Heath, Ruth Joness and Mary Jane Barth who had a score of 47. In second place was the team of Taye Jackson, Marg Moylan, Shirley Waterhouse and Mary Delouche with a score of 52. In third place by retro was the team of Lil Neale, Helen Cull, Ruth McSpadden, and floater Anne Spencer with score of 53. In fourth place was the team of Phyl Lawrence, Jan Hawkins, Adele Armstong and Bryden Sinden also with a score of 53. Closest to the pin on hole#2 was Carol Livingston.

Phyl & Dorell thanked our sponsors and presented them with a token of our appreciation. Taye presented Marion Hevenor and Mae Moffat each with a beautiful pot of mums in appreciation of their contributions to the League.

It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun with the tournament. A ton of work goes into convening any one of our tournaments. Many thanks to Taye and Sharon for a job well done. Also thanks to retiring Tournament Chair Stella Black for her guidance over the past two years and good luck to incoming Tournament Chair Wilma Jeffery.

This is the final Bunker to Bunker report for 2014. It's been a great year for golfing and although it's sad to see the season end, we look forward to a new season when (hopefully) we will have learned to "keep our heads down", corrected our slices, hooks & toed chips and eliminated 3 putts.

See you on the greens - in 2015.
